Integrating Informatics into First Stage School Learning Activities

Continuing Education at the Institute of Computer Science

Continuing education is open to anyone interested in a specific subject. Find a suitable course or courses from the Institute of Computer Science curricula and start learning! If needed, the credits can later be transferred as prior learning when pursuing a degree.

Studies take place according to the official timetable together with degree students, either on-site, in a blended format, or online. When choosing a course, be sure to pay attention to the schedule of contact (in-person) classes and make sure they suit you. Upon completion, continuing education learners can receive a transcript of records or a certificate.

Course selection takes place by semester. The best time to choose courses for the autumn semester is August. Spring semester courses should be selected in January. Studies begin in September and February, respectively.

Not all courses are available to continuing education learners. For example, some courses may have prerequisites, be intended for a specific group, be full, or the learner may have outstanding tuition fees with the university.

Participation in courses is subject to a fee based on the per-credit price set by the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Tartu.

  • €140 per credit – bachelor’s level courses
  • €140 per credit – master’s level courses

To participate in a regular degree course as a continuing education learner, fill in the application and send it digitally signed to: [email protected].

These continuing education courses take place every year. You can find more information about the schedule, volume, and price via the course link.

In addition to the courses listed above, which are offered every year, a number of other training courses are also organized for different target groups. More detailed information about course volume, cost, and registration can be found via the course link.
