The Assembly Hall
The Assembly Hall in the main building of the University of Tartu is one of the finest specimens of classicist architecture in Estonia. The Assembly Hall inauguration ceremony was held in 1809, and since then all major events at the university have been celebrated there. Because of its excellent acoustic properties, the Assembly Hall is a superb venue for concerts. The hall's spaciousness makes it also suitable for use as a conference venue. The hall has a seating capacity of 470 (340 on the floor, 130 on the balcony).
