Aune Valk The vice rector for academic affairs directs the field of academic affairs and is responsible for the studies and organisation of studies at the level of bachelor’s and master’s studies and residency, continuing education and activities intended for school students, cultural activities of the members of the university, and performing other tasks imposed by the university bylaws. The vice rector for academic affairs organises the work of the Office of Academic Affairs. |

Kristjan Vassil The vice rector for research directs activities of the university in the field of fundamental and applied research and is responsible for the organisation and development of research and development activities, studies and teaching and the organisation of studies and teaching at the doctoral level, and performing other tasks imposed by the university bylaws. The vice rector for research organises the work of the Grant Office and coordinates the work of the Institute of Genomics. |

Erik Puura The vice rector for development directs the institutional development of the university and the fields of research-based development and the development of an enterprising university and is responsible for the direction and implementation of the strategic plan, institutional development of the university, the development of knowledge transfer and protection of intellectual property, enterprising mindset and entrepreneurial relations of the university, international cooperation, and performing other tasks imposed by the university bylaws. The vice rector for development organises the work of the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Rector’s Strategy Office, and coordinates the work of the Museum and the Natural History Museum and Botanical Garden of the university. |

Anti Selart The dean is responsible for the management of the faculty and as a member of the Rector’s Office participates in the administration of the university in developing the university’s integral cross-faculty positions, preparing and implementing strategic decisions for the university’s development, implementing the university’s strategic plan and the objectives of its action plan, implementing the decisions of the council, senate and rector in the faculty, and performing other tasks imposed by the university bylaws. |

Kalle Hein, Head of Finance The head of finance is responsible for the organisation and development of financial activities, financial accounting, planning and analysis, preparation of draft budget and draft annual report, and performing other tasks imposed by the university bylaws. The head of finance organises the work of the Finance Office. |

Kstina Vallimäe The director of administration is responsible for the management and organisation of human resources work, written business procedure, marketing and communication, management of immovable and movable property, public procurement, insurance of risks relating to property, rights and other benefits, security, environmental and radiation protection and fire safety, information technology and information systems, sports activities of the members of the university, and performing other tasks imposed by the university bylaws. The director of administration organises the work of Information Technology Office, Administrative Office, Estates Office, Human Resources Office, Marketing and Communication Office and Procurement Office. |
