Head of the Institute: Prof. Jaak Vilo

Jaak Vilo is the Head of the Institute for the period of 1 January 2026 until 31 December 2028. Jaak Vilo chairs the Institute Council and is responsible for curating educational, research and development, financial and personnel-related activities at the institute.

The Institute Council

The Council is appointed as of August 1, 2025 and is in session until July 31, 2027. Student representatives are appointed from August 1, 2025 until July 31, 2026.

The work of the Council is based on the Statutes and Rules of Procedure of the UT Institute of Computer Science. Here is the Strategy of the UT Institute of Computer Science for 2025–2030.
