Our goal is for the results of researchers' work to benefit businesses and society as a whole. R&D collaboration with the university help businesses to achieve their goals. Collaboration where researchers and students bring their knowledge and skills to a company is called knowledge transfer.
We welcome businesses and institutions to work with us!
Here are three ways we can be useful to our partner:
The knowledge and skills of our researchers have been used by companies such as Bolt, Mooncascade OÜ, Protobios OÜ, Revvity, Better Medicine OÜ, Apromore Pty Ltd, Tartu City Government, the Estonian Language Institute, the Centre for Health and Welfare Information Systems and others.
A knowledge transfer doctorate is a collaboration between a university, company or institution and a PhD student where the doctoral student applies the results of his or her research for the company. The student's work helps the company to move in the right direction, to introduce new solutions and to gain state-of-the-art knowledge. The doctoral research takes into account the specific needs of the partner organisation.
The High-Performance Computing Centre offers organisations the most powerful infrastructure in the Baltics for processing large volumes of data. The service includes supercomputer access, cloud computing, data storage, user training and technical support. The domestic data centre is secure and well suited for processing sensitive data, as it operates in the European Union's economic area under the rules of the Union's General Data Protection Regulation. For larger projects, Europe's most powerful supercomputer, LUMI, can be used.
The UT High-Performance Computing Centre is part of the Estonian Scientific Computing Infrastructure ETAIS consortium, which includes the University of Tartu, Tallinn University of Technology, National Institute of Chemical Physics and Biophysics and Ministry of Education and Research.
