IT research work and study programmes introduced to ambassadors

Present were ambassadors of Sweden, India, France, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Spain, Ireland, Indonesia, Albania, Macedonia, Belarus, Brazil, USA and Lithuania. Representatives from the Finnish, Norwegian, Dutch, Georgian and Canadian embassies were also in attendance with members of cultural institutes and international organizations.

The delegates were greeted at the Institute of Computer Science by the Vice Rector for Development Erik Puura who called the University of Tartu a stronghold in information and communication technology related research and also praised the international curricula of the Institute of Computer Science.

Professor of Software Engineering Marlon Dumas gave an overview of the main research directions and the internationally renowned researchers at the institute. Additionally, the strong and close-knit startup community as well as companies founded by our alumni were discussed.
