The task of the University of Tartu Marketing and Communication Office is to enhance the university’s reputation and visibility in Estonia and internationally. Our office contributes to the achievement of the university's strategic objectives by helping bring talented people to the university, promoting research and innovation, and disseminating research results in society.
The Marketing and Communication Office has three units.
The Communication Unit is responsible for managing the University of Tartu’s internal and external communication. We aim to deliver the university’s messages effectively to students, staff, alumni and the wider public. The work of the unit includes media relations, and internal, research and crisis communication. The Communication Unit ensures that the university communicates with the public in perfect Estonian.

The Marketing Unit is responsible for maintaining and strengthening the university’s reputation and promoting the opportunities of studying at the university. Our goal is to make the university better known and more visible and to bring the university’s messages to target groups and stakeholders. The unit’s main tasks include organising marketing campaigns and comprehensive development of the university’s image.

The main task of the Visual Media Service is to broadcast, record, edit and archive videos of the university’s important events, and to provide photography and audio services. Read more about the services on the webpage of the Visual Media Service.
